Sample Treatment Program
Diagnostics:
- Spinal X-ray and MRI scan
- Consultation of orthopedic surgeon specializing in scoliosis
Treatment:
There are two ways to treat scoliosis, conservative and surgical.
- Bracing – a conservative method that involves a special custom made brace. It is normally prescribed for young patients, whose bone growth hasn’t yet finished.
- Surgery – indicated for patients whose bone growth has finished. Cost of operations can vary depending on the extent of the spinal curvature and the number of implants used during the procedure. It normally includes preoperative preparation, implants, hospitalization and postoperative monitoring.
Provided there are no complications, you can expect to be discharged within 5-7 days following the surgery and be cleared to travel back home approximately two weeks following your discharge.
