Male Infertility Treament in Israel
Male infertility accounts for approximately 40-50% of all cases of infertility. Its causes include various sperm production disorders, varicocele, hormonal issues (i.e. hypogonadotropic hypogonadism), smoking, drug and alcohol abuse, past chemotherapy, certain infections (such as prostatitis), ejaculation disorders and vas deferens obstruction.

- Analysis of urine for the presence of sperm (in cases of low semen volume)
- Abdominal/pelvic Doppler US scan
- Trans-rectal US scan (in cases of low semen volume)
- Blood work (CBC, SMAC, liver function tests, assessment of renal function, and hormonal profile (sex hormones, pituitary hormones, thyroid hormones))
- Andrologist consultation
- Genetic analysis (recommended by andrologist when the aforementioned investigations fail to yield a diagnosis)
